I enjoy working collaboratively with others to discover their inner strength and resiliency, to facilitate change, and to provide a milieu in which people feel heard and valued. My primary approaches in counselling are cognitive-behavioural and solution-focused; I can also draw on a range of other approaches to best meet your needs.
I am a registered psychologist in the province of Alberta and have been engaged in the counselling psychology profession for 30 years. My counselling experience includes private practice, consulting psychologist for several school districts, and consulting psychologist and manager of employee and family assistance programs in large organizations. I have provided personal counselling to individuals, couples and families as well as organizational services, including conflict management, customized educational sessions and workshops and leadership training. I have also worked with a number of churches and dioceses in Canada in the areas of policy development, education and counselling services related to clergy sexual abuse.
